This Friday I will be retelling one of the most well known parts of the Bible about Joseph - the dreamer...only he wasn't really a dreamer was he, he interpreted other peoples dreams.
Has anyone here had any dreams that they can attribute as messages from God ?
But how do you tell?....
ReplyDeleteNever been asleep at the time, but several times have wondered whether God was telling me to do a particular thing. Always been wrong. What does that say about me?
That you shouldn't do anything God tells you in a daydream...?
ReplyDeleteOr rather that you should seek guidance in a variety of ways especially over something important.
I guess all of us should also remember that Joseph didn't have a Bible, or any "believers" around him to consult. It was just him and God so God would be limited (if I'm allowed to say that) in how he communicated with Joseph.
I've had some in the past that I believe were premonitions (because what I dreamt about came true) although I don't think they were from God because I wasn't a Christian then.. what does this mean ?
ReplyDeleteJust a thought... why can't God give premonitions to unbelievers if he wants to?
ReplyDeleteHe does in tonight's story. Pharoah has premonitions, given by God, yet he didn't know God. Only it was His chosen person, Joseph, who could interpret them.
ReplyDeleteand of course we are not all chosen to be interpreters of dreams.
ReplyDeleteMy mother had a dream before my brother passing about a month prior. So did a friend in H.S. before he died.
ReplyDeleteI had dreams of warning an gone against it and know see it was God trying to lead me down the right path, always hopeful we will do the right things.
I believe this to be true for many.
Blessings,
Ella
