What About Pharaoh?

It still seems that we haven't got to the bottom of the Pharaoh question.

Why does the Bible say God "hardened his heart". So if that was God's doing... why is he judged and condemned? Any suggestions?

(Video clip from Prince of Egypt. Let us know if this infringes copyright and it will be removed.)

Why not watch the movie sometime to see the full story?

Catching up on all your post.

Ah, what a great post and article in the newspaper I went to back to read. Hard to find, but did. One usually knows when one strikes a "nerve"- -there will be debate.

That's the good news. But then you have to back it up. Which you did in a most excellent manner which many seemed to agree after reading it. I salute your church and see you all as the early pioneers in America venturing out West into uncharted territories.

And Jesus I believe issued an invitation to all to "be fishers of men." It's wonderful to see, and as the times change, so must the church if God's word is to be heard. You're bringing the church to the people and not vice versa. That takes effort and others may feel threatened by that. It's human nature. You all don't seem easily rattled though over there where in the US we get our feathers all ruffled all the time. Sometimes stuck on trivial matters loosing the "big picture."

How wise a church and how great a vision you give that just doesn't match the norms of the establishment in religion. People always fear the unknown. I grew up fearful of God in many ways growing up as child, thinking God would strike me down with one impure thought as a So. Baptist.

My grandfather was a founder of Baptist church, but it wasn't like that there. Only in the deep South where I grew up. They seem to take it literally down there at times and to extremes which is a real turn off.

You've issued an invitation to those that would like to come, and what is the difference between wine and beer. Doesn't each of God's disciples represent us all in some form or fashion. I believe they do.

I enjoy very much reading your posting and comments here. It gives me others eye to see with. And others too, I hope.

Blessings,

Kim
