What is poverty ? How poor is poor and how rich is rich ?
How do we define poverty? In some countries having enough to eat and a bed to sleep is riches but in the west if thats all we had we would be seen as poor. Can poverty be a state of mind?
Poverty: a want of means (POD) - this can be applied to physical resources (food, shelter, warmth, clothing) as well as emotional and spiritual aspects of life.
Some may be rich materially but poor in spirit.
Our own standards or poverty or affluence relate to comparisons with others _ would Jesus have us relate to His standards?

Poverty and wealth is probably in the eye of the holder!

Poverty: To lack or be denied adequate resourses to participate meaningfully in society?
Poverty: to lack enough money to buy food to sustain your health?
